Adapted from a 1962 West German postage stamp issued as part of the Wohlfahrtsmarken series honoring the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm, this design evokes the haunted grace of Sleeping Beauty in her eerie interlude—not yet rescued, not yet gone.
