Enter the woods of Wonderland, where trees whisper riddles, and a grin may hang in the air long after its owner has vanished. These high-top shoes conjure the curious stillness and dizzy logic of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, where Alice meets the ever-grinning Cheshire Cat.

Featuring John Tenniel’s original 1865 illustrations, lovingly colorized and wrapped across the canvas, the design centers Alice beneath the arching bough of a tree, gazing upward at the Cat who may or may not still be there. The outside panels depict full narrative scenes: Alice in her striped frock, the Cat reclined in his perch, and the quiet chaos of a world that bends around language. On the inside panels and heel, Carroll’s original text fragments drift like echoes—“Twinkle, twinkle,” said the Hatter.

Aged parchment cream forms the background, lending a vintage book-page aesthetic, while woodland yellows, warm browns, and inky greens spill across the scene. With every glance, you find something new—a grin, a flicker of tail, or the suggestion that time here doesn’t quite run straight.

Wonders Whispered About These Wares

Powers Bestowed Upon the Possessor

Grin That Lingers
You leave an impression. Even after you exit the room, your presence echoes—subtle, uncanny, and hard to trace.

Path Through Nonsense
Grants intuitive understanding of the illogical. You thrive where signs contradict, clocks misbehave, and reason turns in on itself.

Sanity of the Maddest One
You’re untouched by chaos because you walk with it. The more twisted things become, the more you see the shape beneath.

Jaded Lament Discovery Note

The Laments insist that these are wayfinders for liminal spaces. A few claim the shoes once vanished entirely, leaving only the laces curled into the shape of a smile. One Lament reported walking in them for seven days and returning precisely two minutes after she left—though her teacup had grown moss and her cat could now speak in riddles.

Wear them at your own delightful risk.

Hymns to Strengthen Thy Enchanted Relic

Lend Thine Ear, Fortify Thy Powers. Invoke these chants whilst donning thy wares, that the enchantment might seep deeper into thy bones.

Grin Without a Map
Five songs that shimmer like a smirk in the woods, twist mid-sentence, and vanish just when you think you understand them.

"Rabbit Hole" – Matt Berry
Baroque, playful, and quietly mad. A musical smirk in velvet gloves.

"This Must Be the Place (Naïve Melody)" – Talking Heads
A joyful, off-kilter anthem for the bewildered and content. For when you don’t know where you’re going—but it feels oddly familiar.

"Climbing Up the Walls" – Radiohead
Cheshire’s grin, set to sound. Dark, woozy, and full of whispered truths.

"Strange and Beautiful (I'll Put a Spell on You)" – Aqualung
Soft and haunting. A love letter from something that might not exist.

"The Caterpillar" – The Cure
Whimsical unease in floral disguise. Perfect for forest strolls that don’t quite loop back.
